The island is also one of the world's primary nesting sites for endangered hawksbill turtles, so you can sign up to take part in a turtle watch if visiting between June and November.

The oceanfront spa uses locally-sourced ingredients in each of its island-inspired treatments – try the peaceful Ley Ley ritual, which includes an exfoliating scrub followed by a soothing massage and a nourishing scalp treatment using an infusion of eucalyptus and organic extracts from the indigenous neem tree.
