Working against the clock to keep a production line moving
A car manufacturer urgently needed our help getting their production line back in action. Over 700 boxes of automotive parts were being trucked across the border from Mexico to their plant in the United States, but 36 of those boxes were critically needed before operations shut down for the night. With no time to waste, we set about arranging an aircraft charter to get them there in time.
Our Solution
Route: Texas > Tennessee
Aircraft: Learjet 35
We sent the client several options within 30 minutes of receiving their call, before arranging the charter of a small and speedy light jet from an airport in Texas.
The truck was delayed crossing the Mexican border, giving us less than 12 hours to get the cargo to the plant before it shut. As soon as it arrived at the airport, our team worked with ground handlers to locate the correct boxes and load them by hand onto the aircraft. After touching down in Tennessee, the parts were trucked to the plant and arrived in good time.
The Finer Details
Door-to-Door Solution: In addition to the aircraft charter, we arranged trucking services from the destination airport to the client’s manufacturing plant.
Hands-On Approach: Our team was on-hand to ensure everything ran smoothly, helping the handling agent to retrieve the parts and load them onto the aircraft.
